Walked the puppies this morning. I resisted the child harness (AKA leash) for so long--slightly embarrassed for the leash moms. But I am totally converted. No more dashing out the front door when I'm checking out at the store, or making a run for it in a crowd of people. I thought Grant would hate it, but he kinda likes it. Luke is actually a bit jealous.
For the record, the puppy in the front is not mine. We are still enjoying some Alabama Melby fun and sweet Tate is their dog.
We went to Ocean City on Saturday. The kids were in heaven. I gotta say, those east coast beaches are so much better for kids. It was nice and shallow with small waves. Not too cold. Grant was an animal in those waves.
Needless to say, the kids crashed on the drive home. A few days later we made our way to Alabama, and here we are! We had serious southern food at Irondale Cafe today--fried green tomatoes, greens, butter beans, fried chicken, and buttermilk pie. WOW! I think we may need to go back before I leave town.
I've been meaning to share these sweet, sweet pictures of my niece Elizabeth. I was able to snuggle her at my niece Ellie's wedding. (With nine siblings we have quite the age range amongst the nieces and nephews) Isn't my little niece adorable?! My friend Danica took the pictures. She is a wiz with the children's photography. If you're lucky enough to live in st Louis you should check out her blog.
Now for the winners...(P.S. It's worth doing this just for all the sweet compliments you guys throw out. Thank you!!)
