I like it, and you're so pretty. My sewing machine is somewhere int he garage...it'll come out some day.

Well done! I like the wrapped paintings as decoration. Great idea. Thanks for the tutorial too.

I Love your poppy fabric as a stocking and would never have thought of it as workable for a christmas project until seeing this. Thanks for sharing!

I've been wanting to make one of these. Now, maybe this is a dumb question, but where would I find baker's twine? (And I agree with Alice, you look beautiful!)

Laura Gunn

Wow! Thanks guys. I didn't know I'd get the compliments. It was worth doing the video just for that :-) I ordered my baker's twine online (http://www.amazon.com/Regency-Wraps-RW1627-Bakers-Twine/dp/B004REMVWK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1322925242&sr=8-1). But you can get pearl cotton (a thick thread used for hand embroidery) at a fabric or craft store. I think it would look just as nice.

I came across an old post about dying buttons. What about tan or brown ones...would it work?

I love the idea of using baker's twine and I'm glad that someone already asked for your source; I've been wanting to get some for a while now. The tutorial was great, especially the 'background' noise. Gotta love those kids!

p.s. I hope you don't mind that I pinned this. I tried tagging you in it but I'm not sure I actually did it.

I've never tried dying tan buttons. If you do let me know if it works

Great tutorial, Laura. This is one project I just might be able to fit in this Christmas. Lots of cheer for the effort. (Next time, call me for aqua felt. We've got every color in the shop.)

And your stockings are fabulous too -- they're electric! Just beautiful.

How FUN! :) What kind of cutter do you use for the circles? :)

Laura Gunn

I have a sizzix big kick. We've had fun with it so far.

Well done! Especially love the title of the post as we all have the same problem all over. Can you email me what you ate for the main course?
