I've been so excited about these textured solids. Some of them are from my Magnolia Lane Collection. But we've done a lot more colors, and now there are over 30. (They'll be available soon. Yeeee ha!) So the first project I used them for was some pillows for my Living Room. (I need to get those on the blog too.)
Anyway, when Luke saw the pillows he said, "Mom, you need to make more pillows. Lotsem lotsem pillows". I told him I would make more. He said, "No! Go in your studio right now and make them!"
This really tickled me, and I'm a sucker for my kids when they get excited about handmade stuff. So, although I ignored his order to get to work on them immediately, I did make him some pillows.
Of course, I soon realized that he actually wanted "lotsem lotsem pillows" to build one of his pillow forts with. Duh! Almost every time we sit on the couches, he uses our legs to make a fort. (And what a scolding we get if we move our legs!) Maybe the handmade part was irrelevant.
Still, he was ridiculously excited about them when I finished--carried them around, showed them off, embraced them ardently. Definitely worth it.
********PS..Check out the applique pattern for these pillows here or on my side bar.**********

Adorable, the pillows and your son, I love how he showed them off. Proud of his momma! Relish it now, soon he will be a teenager!
