A Winner and All About Market.

WARNING: I think I've gotten a little carried away with the writing.  It's late at night.  Still, I am DETERMINED to get a report on market up quickly this year.  Anyways, this post is bound to be riddled with typos and run on sentences. (My editor, AKA husband is not available for proof reading.)  The warning should probably be addressed to myself and should probably persuade me to wait until tomorrow to post because I am far too silly to be writing tonight.  But it is the very fact that I am so silly that is encouraging me to just go ahead and post.  Hmmm.

What a fun and inspiring weekend.  Quilt Market was a treat for so many reason.  I was able to spend some time with my sister-in-law and one of my best friends, Heather Bailey.  And I got to hang out with all the folks at Michael Miller.  (People often ask me what it's like to work with them and I can say quite candidly that they are the nicest group of people and I love working with them.)  And I was able to meet and hang out with all sorts of designers that I admire.  There are so many great designers in the industry right now.  I always love seeing Patty Young and Sandy henderson at the MM booth. (You should see these doll panels in Patti's new line.  I've got to make these with my daughter.)  And I finally met Pillow and Maxfield--sooo fun and enthusiastic.  Anna Maria Horner always has a beautiful booth.  (I think she was missing her kids cause she called me  "little one."  I won some of her fabric at a Wiley Publishing Soiree.  I never win anything.)  I'm always blown away by how lovely and sweet Amy Butler is--and by the fact that she remembers me.  I'd met Joel Dewberry before, but we got a chance to chat some more.  I love his work.  And Liesl of Oliver and S has a new fabric line with Moda. (I love it--so clean and sweet.  Perfect for her clothing designs)   Sorry for the lack of links.  Maybe I will add them later (or maybe not.)  But I figured I'd better get something UP!  Phew.  That was a long paragraph.  And not even a pretty picture yet.  Rude!

Another new line I LOVED--Circa 50 by MonaLuna. YUM.   OK.  Here's a link.

There was more, Bari J. and Lizzy House had some great new designs.  I could go on and on (Oh wait.  I think I did.)

Here are some things I saw and loved--made with Poppy Collection:

This quilt was done by Abbey Lane Quilts.  I think they won first place for a single booth. 

 

Here is a dress designed by Kay Whit of Serendipity Studio.  She has such original and sophisticated patterns for women.

   

Swirly Girls are prolific with their fun and doable quilt patterns.  This one is called Brick Works, I believe.

 

I love this dress!!!! Dresses like this remind me that I could never have enough baby girls to satiate my desire to dress them.  If you do have a baby girl right now GO MAKE SOME CUTE DRESSES.  NOW!! It goes by waaayyyy to fast.  Oh, this cutie is by Olive Ann Designs.

I have to ask you... in the undercover crate tutorial you show how to customize the measurements for any box. What I dont understand is how do you box the corners? what's the measurement for that?
