What a week! Patti and I are sooooo close to printing our sewing patterns. We want them to be extremely user friendly so we needed folks to test them. My mom had the genius idea of having a pattern testing party to get the testing rolling. We had 11 women over to sew and eat with us and give those patterns their first debut. Oh boy, some cute stuff came out of that. I still can't believe I fit 11 sewing machines in my house!
It goes without saying that those 11 women are like us and come with some "helpers." I think we had 16 in all. Luckily, I had the basement and a friend, Klixi, to help with the little "helpers."
On a different note my friend Tara hosts a blog--Dandy Giveaway--all about free stuff. (How cool is that.) Today she is featuring a Three Yellow Starfish giveaway. It includes this Lantern Bloom reversible pinafore. Yummy!
is sitting up and scooting all over the place. It seems like I was
just doing this. He got his little head into my pots and pans cupboard
and I had major deja vu. Seems like just yesterday I took this picture of Luke.
so funny how he tries to get to all the same places Luke used to. I
thought it was peculiar of Luke to head for the bathroom as fast as his
little army crawl could drag him whenever someone left the door
opened. Nope. Apparently babies are wired with a little radar for
that type of thing. But luckily, Luke trained us. Grant won't have
chance to make it to the plunger.
Multiple people have sent me links to this quilt. Obviously because it is FABULOUS. Allissa at Handmade by Allissa made it. I love how she framed the Lantern Bloom with solids. It looks so modern. She has so many beautiful quilts on her blog. You'll have to check it out.
