I've been dreaming of redoing my bedroom. (Who knows if I'll actually get to it) I've always had my room in soft colors. Some white, pink, yellow, etc. But lately I've had an urge to go bright, Bright, BRIGHT! It all started with that crazy cool Anthropologie bedding and their irresistible upholstered chairs. (I want! I want!)
That's the mood that inspired these mum paintings.
Also, I've been wanting to show this off. I mentioned it before, but here's a better picture, courtesy of Dana, and a bit more info on the event. There is nothing like painting on a giant, freshly painted wall. It's a bit scary at first, but you just gotta go for it.

I am TOTALLY loving this new style. I like how you are outlining your flowers. It makes them so striking! Love it!

I'm thinking about redoing my bedroom, too. But because I've got no style, I was thinking brown. With beige. And cream accents. But mostly, brown.
I need help.
If I buy the middle chair, will you paint me some flowers to go with?

It amazes me that you can take these chairs as inspiration and create those gorgeous paintings! I love the chairs and I'll be anxious to see what you do. I've picked my favorite. . . . although two would be nice, huh?

I love those paintings, particularly the blue one on the right. Do you sell those? I've looked in your gallery, but don't see them.
Love your work. Meredith

Like you, I tend to have a gentler vibe going with the colors in my house--but those chairs! Your paintings! Sets my heart racing! Very lovely and energizing.

Your design and style are incredible. Can't wait to see your fabric line. I doubt I'll ever be able to cut it though! It will probably just sit on my ironing board for me to admire.
I'd love to make a quilt with your fabric and give it away on my blog. Hmmmm... interested?

I'm a lurker, but I've come out of the shadows to say I loooove this post. I just graduated myself from a more beige existence and i'm loving every moment.
Those chairs!!!
I am going to get busy recovering some of my own. I just repainted my livingroom in decorator white, so it is now a ready and willing backdrop to my decorating shenanigans.
Thanks for the color and cheer!

Laura, you amazingly creative creature, you! ;) So, I'm sitting here looking at that room and have spent the last five minutes trying to figure out WHICH room that is/was? Was that the one I lived in? I can't even tell! Well, regardless of which room, the one in the photo is beautiful. Absolutely. Just thought I'd share my thoughts. Loves!

I just stumbled upon your blog and am completely impressed with your talent. I love the colors and the life that you seem to bring to the things you touch. I also love that you referenced East of Eden. One of my all time favorites that I was just telling a friend about... I love me some Steinbeck.
Thanks for sharing!
