I've been saving these ties I bought for Luke until he could walk. (Crawling in a tie just isn't cool.) As we were getting ready for church the other day Lily said "Mom! Luke can walk. He can wear a tie." Oh boy, what a big moment.
It's a good thing he looked so cute. It helped me through church where he smeared rainbow goldfish drool on my Sunday best, threw a ball at the Sunday School teacher (while she was teaching), climbed on a man in a wheel chair, and ran through the halls in search of electrical outlets and garbage cans (emptying people's diaper bags in his path.) But he sure looked cute in that tie!
Then my sweet sister sent me a package with more goodies to decorate Luke with. Can you believe she designed this little t-shirt herself. She actually sketched right on the shirt. Ingenious! How could I lose my patience with him in this outfit.
On an unrelated topic: I was planning on sharing a free pattern this week. Then I talked to my favorite designer and one of my dearest friends (also happens to be married to my brother). She is sending me some of her new fabric (AWESOME!) And I think that is worth waiting for. So, it looks like my give-aways will leak into August. I guess I'm celebrating my birth-season, not just birth-month. It's possible I'm taking this too far. Awe well. See you next week!
Also, I'll leave the Rainy Day Give-Away opened until I get back from my church girls camp. So keep those favorite movies coming. I'm making a grand list for those last minute blockbuster runs.
