Forget Me Not
Maybe this is a bit overboard but.........It's breaking my heart to leave my kids for 9 days. Will Luke even remember us when we get back? There's no question of him being well cared for by Colette. In fact I've said many times I want to grow up to be like Colette. But will he forget about his old life, with his slightly less organized and more easily distracted mother.
So here's his little shrine to his real parents. (Why am I having flash backs of the rhesus monkeys I learned about in college) The photo is printed on that ridiculously expensive printable fabric you can get at Office Max and then sewed into a little pillow.
Shannon worked on it at my Friday Sweat Shop (AKA Friday Group). She even brought it home to finish. She gave it a little handle for portability. Thank you Shannon!
Aside from leaving the kids I am crazy excited about our trip. Thanks for the tips on shops and sights to visit. I'll give you a report when I return. Cheerio!!!

Awww, that is so sweet!
I have a feeling you will not be forgotten. :)

I didn't know you were going to Europe! My London favorites:
Museums: (you are probly more art than history but anyway...) Cabinet War Rooms, Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, National Gallery, Westminster Abbey.
Food: Cadbury candy bars from Tesco, $10 diet cokes, Mr. Chow's in Knightsbridge. Tea at Orangerie at Kensington is very nice.
Shopping: Almost too expensive to really enjoy. Get a famous french macaroon from Laduree inside Harrods, and ogle the food court.
Walk around: St. James' park, Buckingham to Big Ben, Picadilly, Covent Garden, Trafalger Square. Take the tube as little as possible and walk your socks off.
Your kids might forget you, but it will be worth it.

You are going to have such an awesome time! Make sure you go to Liberty's while you are in London. It is an out of control fabric store. Also, maybe whilst in Germany you could take a day and go down to Brussels or closer Brugges. Depending on where in Germany you are it's just a couple hour train ride, and all the candy and shopping will be worth the beautiful trip. Have so much fun!!!

Have fun! I look forward to working with you when you are back. Saw the apartment yesterday...things progressing nicely, but it needs your magic embellishments. Can hardly wait to see what you will do.
