Hiding Spilled Milk
Maybe it's the weather, but I felt like painting something completely different---something, dare I say, dark. I don't mean dark like ominous, just dark like slate tile.
Speaking of slate tile, I want some. Every place we live has white tile or linoleum in the kitchen. I want something that hides dribbled milk or even chocolate milk. Same goes for carpet. Give it to me dark. In the meantime, here are some spilled-chocolate-milk -inspired-slate-like-paintings. I call them Slate Tile and Indigo Tile.

I really like that second one. And I agree wholeheartedly about the darker floors. For me it's pet rather than kid dribbles. I hate that you can't even seem to tell when I mop the kitchen floor anymore. YUCK!

Beautiful! I really like the moodiness of them! I'll trade you some slate for some lighter stuff - I'm tired of the slate in our entryway...a little too dark in an already dark space.

Beautiful work! I'm wondering if you are the Laura Gunn I knew in 2001 in Renton, WA - let me know if you are - I'd love to catch up with you. bjpmitchells@yahoo.com - mitchellmaddness.blogspot.com

Wow...love!
Would you consider showing these? I have a realitor who hosts shows downtown called "Art of City Living". People tour the homes for sale and see artwork by local artists.
